Witches' Ball

And which sort of witch are you? A Good Witch? A Bad Witch? Now is a time to act out your fantasy from history or your imagination. Another thought: "Who were you in Medieval times?" costumes.

So why are we doing this? 'Tis the Season! We started in 1998. We were looking for something local to do after enjoying Pagan Festivals in other parts of Florida. Our first Ball was simpler with only one Ritual and no lights on the Labyrinth. Each year, we have learned and our celebration continues to grow. Look back at 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, Yule 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009.

The Real Witches Ball is held in Columbus, Ohio, by Salem West and has been going on for several years. The UUs in New Orleans have been doing a Witches Ball for several years but are currently distracted. There are also Witches Balls in Denver, St. Louis, Seattle, Texas, Michigan, California, and, of course, Salem, Massachusetts.

Still others are looking to plan a Samhain Witches Ball in Australia, but they like to do it in May during their harvest time.

Not everyone has a place to go for the New Year's Celebration of Samhain. And, yes, there are some who already do. We are look to create an event for those not yet connected and for those seeking a change in the coming New Year. First we will party and get acquainted. At midnight, we will celebrate our Celtic New Year with a Solemn Ritual.
